Vladimir Weiss is a Prague-based photojournalist and adventure photographer (*1969). He began pursuing a career in professional photography during studies at the Czech Technical University. Whereupon graduation, he began working full time as a photojournalist and since has photographed a variety of styles from Photojournalism to Portraits and interiors.
Vladimir has worked on assignments for various Czech and international publications covering news and business in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. His clients include: The Prague Post, Bloomberg News agency, New York Times, Financial Times, The Christian Science Monitor, National Geographic Czech Republic, and Prague International Marathon among others. His travel and stock images are represented by ISIFA agency.
When not covering news and business stories he can be found in distant mountains or back packing through deserts with his camera at the ready. His images of far-flung and often dangerous environments have appeared in many outdoor/adventure magazines. He enjoys working in extreme conditions from mountaintops to the political fray and has developed a unique style of shooting that doesn't shy from the action.
